Juho Eerola is a Finnish Helsinki based singer, vocal coach and certified Estill Voice Training practitioner who specializes in musical theatre actors, singers and professional voice users. During the last years he has been the vocal coach for several major productions including The Addams Family (2021), Zorro The Musical (2021), West Side Story (2020), Phantom (2019), Hair (2018), The Last Ship (2018), Jekyll & Hyde (2015), etc.
During 2010-2016 he worked at the Finnish National Opera as a vocal coach for the children’s chorus and child soloists in a number of productions including La Bohéme, Turandot, Tosca, The Cunning Vixen, Die Rosenkavalier, Die Zauberflöte, The Nutcracker etc.
Since 2017 Juho has served as a board member for FINATS the Finnish Association of Teachers of Singing becoming the President in 2020.
Juho has worked as a part-time singing teacher on several different levels of education including The Sibelius Academy, Centria – University of Applied Sciences and Savonia – University of Applied Sciences.
Juho has been interviewed for theses and articles concerning vocal coaching in musical theatre, acting through song and Estill Voice Training. He was a presenter at the World Voice Day 2018 at HUS Helsinki University Hospital Phoniatric Outpatient Clinic.
Alongside theatrical work Juho has a wide interest and understanding in voice problems and rehabilitating singers and professional voice users. He works closely with Voice Massage and Speech Therapists in order to offer the best possible help for his clients.
He wrote his thesis on The use of Estill Voice Training model in the rehabilitative teaching of a musical theatre professional recovering from a cerebral infarction. The work was presented at the 9th Estill World Voice Symposium in London at King’s College in August 2019.
